DAY 28 - Thoughts on Love

“And he said unto them; Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.” (Jesus of Nazareth - Mark 4.24-25 - King James Bible)

What we think about matters a lot!

Throughout these meditations we have seen how, unless we face and embrace with Love our inner self or inner child, it is normal to have little control over our thoughts. As we have discovered, our unconscious thoughts dictate how we see ourselves.

To that end we have committed ourselves to heal the shadow thoughts of our unconscious mind and we are on the path of our Personal Legend toward True Empowerment. The next question you are probably asking yourself is:

“What can I do to help my progress toward my treasure?”

Jesus of Nazareth, in the quote above, was reiterating ancient wisdom from multiple traditions when he wisely says: what we hear and think will help to make us who we are. I will paraphrase:

‘Be careful what you let into your mind and what you think about. The time you give to studying wisdom and thinking wise and life-giving thoughts - the wiser you will become and in direct proportion: the more time you give - the wiser you will be. Then your wise thoughts will self multiply, so you will accumulate even more. This also comes with a warning: if you don’t take care of what you listen to or think about then even the wisdom you have will diminish - again in direct proportion to the time you don’t give to listening and thinking wise thoughts. (Paraphrase: Colm Holland - The Secret of The Alchemist )

Put simply - we become what we think. Think wisely and you will be wise. Think negatively you will be negative and so on. This is the power of the human mind and how we care for and nurture that power should be our first priority - everyday.

In the context of the overall teaching of Jesus of Nazareth - as an example - he said his disciples should focus on one key thought:

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34 - King James Bible.)

The ancient alchemists agree and 3000 years earlier they stated the same concept in the Emerald Tablet. ( See Day 1 in this series: https://www.colmholland.com/blog/the-emerald-tablet )

I will paraphrase the first verse:

‘It’s true that if we focus here on earth on the same thoughts that are above - then those higher thoughts will become ours too. Then we will be able to perform miracles using the power of the only true thing in the universe - which is unconditional Love.’ The Emerald Tablet - Paraphrased by Colm Holland.

Over the next few meditations we will be looking at how we can live a life full of miracles and today we recognize that it all begins with how we think.

Today’s mantra:

Today and everyday I will bring all my thoughts back to Love.

Remember I have asked Love to give you everything you need to be the Alchemist in your world - and it all begins with a thought.
